New Year, New Goals

Happy February Storitopia friends! I still like to think of us being in the 'New Year' - so let's just go with it. We have so much on our to-do list this year and I'm excited about all of it. One huge goal that I'm going to put in writing here is that we will officially be launching Storitopia by the summer of 2022! Just in time for EVERYONE to enjoy this screen-free entertainment option this summer. Yay!

Podcast Review

The Past & The Curious: A History Podcast for Kids and Families History lovers rejoice! This super entertaining and well-produced history podcast is fun for the whole family. The Past & The Curious was created by Mick Sullivan who is an educator and curator at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. Mick has been cranking out monthly episodes since 2016. Each show celebrates the bits of history you likely haven't heard. Everything from the first woman to survive going over Niagara Falls in a barrel, to why people hide pickles in their Christmas trees (a largely debated topic in my house!) And if the podcast weren't awesome enough, Mick also wrote "The Meatshower". The book was published in 2019 and starting late last year, Mick began recording and releasing a chapter a month as an additional podcast episode. Mark your calendars. Mick is doing a live Youtube reading of the book on March 3rd, the anniversary of the Kentucky Meatshower, which happened back in 1876.

Pilot Update

We have released the newest version of the app. For those of you testing and providing feedback, thank you! This release includes many of the suggestions you have sent us.

We still have a lot of work to do on the playlist builder, but we have added a search option within each of the genres as well as the ability to see all episodes for each podcast and play them. Our next big item to tackle is creating new playlists.

The record function is available for you to use if you want to give us real-time audio feedback to listen to.

Opening Testing To More Users

It's time to open the pilot to more kids and families. I'll be sending out an open invitation through our Facebook and Instagram pages to invite others to join our pilot. If you know podcast lovers who would be interested in becoming testers, or if you're not testing the app, but would like to, please email me and I will add you to our pilot program.
